The Carroll University Sport Performance Institute (CUSPI) partners our College of Health Sciences faculty and students with Carroll's athletic programs. The CUSPI is dedicated to enhancing sport performance and the advancement of sport science through service, education, and research. The CUSPI's practical work and research endeavors cover a range of activities, such as testing and monitoring Carroll athletes, educating sport scientists and coaches, and completing applied and translational research projects. Develop comprehensive athlete profiles and track their progress through regular assessments using sport science technology, data analytics and coaching observations.
Develop young sport scientists and elevate coach education and coaching instruction. Elevate the quality of coach education and skills to foster improved coaching instruction while also enabling sport science practitioners to advance their practice.
Expand research in sport science to fill a knowledge gap in the United States. Investigate methods of enhancing sport performance using various resistance training and conditioning approaches, technologies and athlete monitoring procedures.
